Road diversion through Kingsbridge

Devon County Council announced a new temporary diversion scheme in Kingbridge
from 2nd May until 7th September 2026.

Only one side of Ilbert Road will be closed from West Alvington Hill roundabout toward Quay Roundabout. Drivers travelling from Bridge Street and the A379 Promenade/Embankment Road will still be able to use Ilbert Road as normal towards Salcombe and Cookworthy Road. The lane closure is part of the forthcoming temporary one-way system commencing 2nd May, which replaces the temporary traffic lights.
